An employee in this occupation interacts with a range of internal teams such as marketing, media, finance, service delivery, volunteering, advocacy, I.T and procurement. Externally, a fundraiser would interact, either autonomously or as part of a team, with clients, donors, supporters and prospective supporters. The role is likely to be home or office-based, although they may spend time away from their base attending and supporting events, meetings with internal or external stakeholders, carrying out specific fundraising activities or carrying out research.
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship’s English and maths minimum requirement
is Entry Level 3. A British Sign Language (BSL) qualification is an alternative to the English qualification for those whose primary language is BSL.
End Point Assessment:
Assessment 1: Apprentices will develop a case for support pitch and present it to independent assessor. The case for support pitch must be based on a real pitch carried out in the employer’s workplace or an appropriate facility as part of the apprentice’s typical activities. The presentation will be based on the case for support pitch developed by the apprentice and will cover a compelling case for support with the aim of asking the audience to support the cause of the organisation the apprentice is representing.
Assessment 2: This assessment will take the form of a professional discussion based on portfolio. The independent assessor can use the contents of the portfolio to identify discussion areas for the professional discussion.
Upon completion learner can progress towards degree level qualification at university or degree level apprenticeship.
Currently due to COVID 19 we are teaching online learning. All of our classes are conducted through online Microsoft Teams or Zoom. All of our assessments are also submitted through online systems and feedback is provided to the learners. If any learners will need extra support, we will provide 1-to-1 tutorials to mee their learning needs. However, we will move towards campus-based studies upon the government guidelines and needs of our employers and apprentices.
