Accountancy / Taxation Professionals are recognised around the world as respected leaders in accountancy, taxation, finance and business. From providing strategic business advice to audited financial statements or driving mergers and acquisitions, a career as an Accountancy / Taxation Professional can be diverse and challenging; it’s not just about putting numbers into a spreadsheet. Accountancy / Taxation Professionals use technical knowledge, skills and experience to lead organisations and people to make responsible and sustainable financial decisions. They are required to act in the public interest and must therefore maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and competency; upholding ethical behaviour and integrity at all times.
Individual employers will identify entry requirements in terms of previous qualifications, training or other criteria (typically relevant degree level qualification or equivalent/ACCA OR CIMA qualifications).
Apprentices without English or Mathematics at Level 2 must achieve this prior to the completion of the End Point Assessment.
End Point Assessment
A Case Study based on a hypothetical scenario/situation: The objective of the Case Study is to assess synoptically the apprentices’ understanding of complex business (or individual) issues and their ability to analyse financial and non-financial data, exercise professional scepticism and ethical judgement, and develop conclusions and/or recommendations. The scenario may be based on a variety of different organisational structures or operations and success at the Case Study will require an integration of the technical knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the standard
Project Report: The project report will be completed after the gateway as the last element of the apprenticeship. The apprentice will be required to answer a series of 3-4 critical and evaluative skills and behaviours questions based on their work experience. There is likely to be a focus on the final 12 months of the apprenticeship in order to ensure the work experience undertaken is at a sufficient level of complexity to meet the Level 7 requirements.
Upon completion learner can progress towards the masters top up degree level qualifications.
Examples of roles as an Accountancy / Taxation Professional include, but are not limited to, Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Tax Accountant, Tax Adviser, Tax Specialist, External Auditor, Internal Auditor, Financial Analyst, Management Consultant, Forensic Accountant and Business Advisor.
Currently due to COVID 19 we are teaching online learning. All of our classes are conducted through online Microsoft Teams or Zoom. All of our assessments are also submitted through online systems and feedback is provided to the learners. If any learners will need extra support, we will provide 1-to-1 tutorials to mee their learning needs. However, we will move towards campus-based studies upon the government guidelines and needs of our employers and apprentices.
